Remembering our rats
This is a page for members of
Rat
Lovers UK only as a monthly tribute to the rats that have left us
for the Rainbow Bridge. It will take place on the last Monday in the
month at 9 pm GMT,
should you wish to join in with the ceremony.
Here is my version of the candle ceremony, I know the ratlist has their
own
ceremony, but here is my modified one.
The next
ceremony will take place on the 28th
February
First each one of 4 candles is lit as we
think about or say prayers to the departed rats.

the rats who have just been lost and are included by name in this
ceremony and for the people who loved them. |

For
the rats who have been PTS and for the people who loved them. |
| 3. |
Special
thoughts for those rats who need special help for illness or other
problems. |
| 4. |
For
your own departed or sick rats. |
I have sent you on a journey to a land free from pain,
not because I did not love you, but because I loved you too much to
force you to stay.
The candles being lit
tonight;
Cast a soft and welcome flame.
And draw our loved ones to the light,
As we call to them by name.
Imagine spirits taking flight,
For a moment our souls entwine.
Say not Good Night, but in some
Brighter Time
Bid them all Good Morning.
I will also light a small birthday candle for each rat
on this list as I say his/her name and the names of the people who are
missing them.

departed little friends who gave us so much fun,
love, laughter and
affection in much too short a time. We miss you!
